A studio service
A custom coffee table book.
A large, linen-bound book made for one client and nobody else. A family's photographs across a century. A firm's fifty years for the anniversary dinner. A hotel's valley through four seasons. A commissioned series of paintings that only exist in this book. Designed with editorial restraint, printed as one copy or a run.
One book. Made once.

N° 01What it is
A book that earns the table.
A coffee table book is judged in the first ten seconds of being opened by someone who did not commission it. Big pages, generous white space, one strong image at a time, type that stays out of the way. It is the opposite of a photo album, where everything goes in. Here, most things stay out.
That editing is the work. We take a family archive, a firm's history or a hotel's year and cut it to the hundred images that carry the story, then sequence them so the book has a rhythm: a full-bleed spread, then a pause, then a detail.
N° 02Who commissions one
Families, firms, hotels, artists.
01
The family book
A century of photographs scanned, restored, sequenced and captioned. A book for every branch of the family at the reunion.
02
The anniversary book
A firm's fifty years for the board, the clients and the staff. Archive photographs, the founder's letters, the buildings, the people.
03
The hotel or estate book
A property through the seasons, for the rooms and the shop. Photography or a commissioned painted series.
04
The artist's monograph
A painter's or illustrator's collected work, sequenced and reproduced to print standard, with an essay.
05
The commissioned series
A set of illustrations painted specifically for the book: a city, a garden, a coastline, a family's homes. The pictures exist nowhere else.
06
The wedding or milestone book
One event, edited hard, printed once or for the two families.
N° 03How it runs
Edit, sequence, design, print.
You send the material or we gather it: scanning, restoring, photographing, or painting a series. We propose an edit and a running order as a flat plan you can see the whole book on. Then design, in a format and paper chosen for the images. A printed proof, then the run: one copy through a premium binder, or fifty to five hundred through offset with linen, foil, embossing and a slipcase.

N° 05Questions
The answers we give most often.
- What goes in a custom coffee table book?
- Whatever deserves a large page: family archives, a firm's history, a property through the seasons, an artist's work, or a series painted for the book.
- Do you take photographs?
- We design, illustrate and produce. Photography comes from you or a photographer we engage. Where images do not exist, we paint them.
- How many copies?
- One through a premium binder, or fifty to five hundred through offset with linen, foil and a slipcase.
- What size and length?
- Usually 96 to 160 pages at 28 by 28 or 25 by 30 landscape. We advise once we have seen the material.
- How long does it take?
- Eight to twelve weeks once the material is gathered, plus illustration time if a series is painted.
