Four things that stall the raise.

Product before pathway

A device is only as fundable as its route to market. Show the regulatory pathway (510(k), De Novo, PMA) and where you are on it — early.

No reimbursement story

If nobody pays for it, it's not a business. Name the reimbursement/coding path and the payer, or investors assume revenue is years away.

Thin clinical evidence

Claims without data don't clear diligence. Show your clinical evidence, trial status, and the endpoints that matter to regulators and buyers.

Underselling the moat

IP, data, and regulatory clearance are real barriers. A device with patents and a cleared pathway is far more defensible — make the moat explicit.

What do medtech investors care about most?
The path to market and to payment — regulatory pathway, clinical evidence, and reimbursement. A great device with an unclear FDA route or no reimbursement is not yet fundable.
How much clinical detail belongs in the deck?
Enough to prove credibility — trial status, key endpoints, and headline results — with the full data in an appendix or data room. The main deck makes the case; the appendix survives diligence.
