A studio service

Pre-seed pitch deck design raising before there is much to show.

At pre-seed there is usually no revenue, no cohort data and no logo wall. The deck has to make the case on insight, evidence of demand and the reason you are the person to do this.

Investment

Three ways to raise.

Fixed price, fixed scope. Pick the tier that matches your raise — from a single deal deck to a full capital-raise kit.

Essential

from$2,000one-time, this scope

A sharp investor deck at the length most decks should be — you bring the content, we design it.

  • 12–15 designed slides
  • Core investor structure (problem → ask)
  • Your brand applied throughout
  • Custom charts (market, traction)
  • 1 revision round
  • Editable PowerPoint source files

  • Condensed sales version of the deck
  • 3 revision rounds, white-glove

These are starting points for the scope listed, not a maximum. Larger or more specialised work — a full appendix set, regulated or clinical material, or a partnering package built to a conference deadline — is scoped and quoted per project.

N° 01What pre-seed investors buy

Three things, in this order.

01

A non-obvious insight

Something true about the market that others have missed or dismissed. Not the idea — the reason the idea is available. Without it, the reader wonders why an incumbent has not already done this.

02

Evidence that someone wants it

Waitlists, letters of intent, pilot commitments, unpaid usage. It does not have to be revenue, but it has to be behaviour rather than opinion. Survey results are the weakest form and are read as such.

03

Founder-market fit

At this stage the team slide carries more weight than it ever will again. Why you specifically, in one line, connected to a real experience.

N° 02Building it

Short deck, no padding.

01

Ten to twelve slides

Pre-seed decks should be shorter than seed decks, not longer. Padding to look substantial has the opposite effect — it signals you know the evidence is thin.

02

Do not fabricate traction

A cumulative-signups chart from a launch post is not traction and every investor recognises it. Show the small real number and what it converted at.

03

Be specific about the milestone

What does this money buy, and what will be true when it runs out? Pre-seed asks are underwritten on the next milestone, not the long-term vision.

Questions

The answers we give most often.

What goes in a pre-seed deck?
Insight, evidence of demand, founder-market fit, the plan, and a milestone-shaped ask. Ten to twelve slides.
How much traction do I need?
Behaviour rather than opinion — waitlist conversion, pilots, letters of intent, unpaid usage. Revenue helps but is not required.
How is pre-seed different from seed?
Seed underwrites early traction and a repeatable channel. Pre-seed underwrites insight and the team, because the data does not exist yet.
Should I show financial projections?
A simple use-of-funds and the milestone the raise buys. Five-year revenue projections at pre-seed are read as fiction.
How long should the deck be?
Shorter than a seed deck. Ten to twelve slides. Padding signals thin evidence.
What is the commonest pre-seed mistake?
Presenting the idea without the insight — leaving the reader to ask why nobody has already built it.
