Tone of the illustration
Bright and cheerful, soft and soothing, or quietly hopeful — you choose the emotional register.
Children's version
Friendly illustrated animals or characters — tell us their age and interests.
Any language
Including Arabic du'a for Islamic recipients — designed within Islamic iconographic tradition.
Getting the tone right
Warm without being falsely cheerful
The hardest thing about a get-well card is the tone. Too bright and it feels dismissive; too somber and it feels like bad news. Tell us the context — a minor surgery, a long recovery, cancer treatment, a child's illness — and we'll calibrate the illustration style and suggest language that fits.
01
Short recovery
Bright botanical or cheerful illustrated scene. Name set large. Message short and warm.
02
Long-term illness or treatment
Softer palette, quieter composition. Focus on presence and care, not recovery timeline.
03
For a child
Friendly characters or animals. Their name in big playful letters. An illustration of something they love.
Card styles
Six styles, one brief.

Botanical watercolor
Warm and gentle — the most common choice for adult get-well cards.

Illustrated still life
Tea, books, a window — a quiet scene that says 'rest well'.

Children's friendly
Bright colours, friendly animals, rounded type.

Minimalist
Single bloom or sprig, clean space — understated and elegant.

Islamic
Geometric pattern, Arabic du'a — no figurative imagery.

Pastel soft
Soft watercolor wash, gentle tone — for a soothing feel.
Islamic context
Get-well cards for Muslim recipients
We make get-well cards with geometric patterns, the du'a 'Shafakallah' or 'Shafakillah' in Arabic calligraphy, and warm colour palettes — all within Islamic iconographic tradition. No figurative imagery, no music attachments, nothing that isn't appropriate to send. Tell us in the brief and we'll handle the rest.

Questions
The answers we give most often.
Can the card avoid any mention of the illness or injury?
Yes. Tell us how specific or vague you'd like it to be. Many people prefer a warm card that focuses on 'thinking of you' without naming the health issue.
Can I include a photo illustration?
Yes — we can paint their face as a portrait illustration in the card. $15 per portrait.
Can the card work for a child who is unwell?
Yes. We have a children's get-well style with friendly illustration — tell us their age and interests and we'll tailor the design.
Is it suitable for someone having surgery or cancer treatment?
Yes — tell us the context and we'll make sure the tone is right. We keep things warm and hopeful without being falsely cheerful.
Can it be in another language?
English, German, French, Spanish, Arabic, Urdu — yes. Useful for sending to family overseas.
How fast can I get it?
Digital card: 24 hours. Print-ready file: 48 hours. Physical printed card: 3-5 days in the US/UK/EU.
