N° 02The part that goes wrong
Printed in bulk, so plan for bulk.

Choosing the printer late
Bulk runs are quoted by commercial printers on paper, size and quantity. We set the files to the printer you name, or to a common spec until you do.

Crayons on coated paper
Crayons and pencils need uncoated stock. Paper choice is agreed with your printer before the pages are designed around it.

Too much brand, too little play
A book that reads as an advertisement is left on the table. Brand elements are placed deliberately and the activities come first.

Borrowed characters
Famous characters need a licence. Your mascot is yours, and the rest of the cast is original to the book.

We agree the setting, the ages, the format, where your brand appears and the quantity your printer will run, then list every page.

2. Sample pages
Two or three finished pages in the agreed look, so you approve the style and the difficulty before the rest is made.

3. Full interior
Every page produced to the plan, with answers or instructions where the format needs them, then one consolidated round of changes.

4. Cover and files
Cover design, front matter and print-ready files at your trim size, set to your printer's or platform's template.

Page counts above are caps. A longer book, extra revision rounds or a second language are quoted in writing before we start them.

The answers we give most often.
- Do you print the books in bulk?
- No. We deliver print-ready files set to your commercial printer's specification. Bulk pricing comes from the printer and depends on quantity, paper and size.
- Can you use our existing mascot and brand guidelines?
- Yes. Send the artwork and guidelines you own and the mascot is redrawn for activities in line with them.
- Which businesses order branded activity books?
- Restaurants and cafes, dental and medical practices, hotels and resorts, museums and attractions, estate agents, banks and event organisers, anywhere children wait or visit with adults.
- Can we reprint later or make a new edition?
- Yes. You own the files and can reprint whenever you like. A new edition or a second location is quoted as a change to the existing files.
- Do we own the artwork?
- Yes, with full commercial rights and the editable files.
