A studio service

Seek-and-find books, one busy scene at a time.

A seek-and-find scene has to reward a child who looks for ten minutes. We illustrate dense, original scenes with objects hidden at the right difficulty, plus the find lists and answer keys that turn a picture into a puzzle.

N° 01What goes in the book

Scenes worth searching.

01

Busy scenes

Full-spread illustrations packed with small stories, so there is something to notice even after every object is found.

02

Hidden objects

Items tucked into the scene by shape and colour: a comb in a fence, a banana in a boat.

03

A recurring character

One character to find on every spread, drawn consistently and hidden a little harder each time.

04

Find lists

Picture lists for non-readers, word lists for readers, or both.

05

Extra challenges

Count the birds, spot what changed, find the pair, for a second pass through the book.

06

Answer keys

Small versions of each scene with the items circled.

N° 02The part that goes wrong

Hidden is not the same as tiny.

01

Lost in the gutter

An object placed across the centre fold disappears into the binding. Nothing to find sits in the gutter.

02

Too small to print

Objects are checked at trim size so they survive printing, not just zooming on a screen.

03

Uneven difficulty

Each scene mixes easy finds with a few hard ones, so a young child gets a win on every page.

04

Look-alike characters

A recurring character that resembles a famous one is a legal risk. Ours are original to your book.

N° 03How it runs

Plan first, artwork after.

01

1. Page plan

We agree the settings for each spread, the recurring character and the list of things to find on each one.

02

2. Sample pages

Two or three finished pages in the agreed look, so you approve the style and the difficulty before the rest is made.

03

3. Full interior

Every page produced to the plan, with answers or instructions where the format needs them, then one consolidated round of changes.

04

4. Cover and files

Cover design, front matter and print-ready files at your trim size, set to your printer's or platform's template.

N° 05Questions

The answers we give most often.

What is the difference between hidden picture and seek-and-find?
Hidden picture puzzles disguise objects inside the lines of a drawing. Seek-and-find books hide characters and items in a crowded scene. We illustrate both, and many books mix them.
How many scenes does a book need?
Fewer than a story book, because each spread holds a child for a long time. The scene count is fixed in the page plan and matches the package.
Can the hidden character be my own?
Yes. Send a description or existing artwork you own and we draw it consistently across every scene.
Can a real child be the one to find?
Yes. A child or a whole family can be drawn from photos as the characters hidden in each scene. Mention it in your brief and it is included in the quote.
Do I own the scenes?
Yes, with full commercial rights and the source files.
