Sixteen pages of what you actually want to tell her
Most Mother's Day gifts are placeholders. This isn't. You write 6-12 short memories, lessons, or thank-yous — one per spread — and we illustrate each one in our studio's watercolor or hand-painted digital style. Photographs can be incorporated as illustrated portraits or as stand-alone reference. Hardbound, 8×8 inches, full colour.

We give you prompts if you're stuck — 'a meal she made that nobody else could', 'a phrase she said that lives in your head' — but you write the words.

Every spread is original artwork. Not a template with a photo dropped in.

Send 1-3 photos and our illustrator paints them into the artwork. Think portrait illustration, not a snapshot composite.

Adult children, mostly, and a few new dads
Most clients are adult children — the gift goes to mom or grandma. We also do this for new dads ordering for the mother of their newborn, framed as 'first Mother's Day'. We've made it for stepmothers, mothers-in-law, and one client's late mother — illustrated as a memorial. We can handle whatever the relationship is.

Order by April 25th for US Mother's Day
Production takes 7-10 days, shipping adds 3-5 days. For US Mother's Day (second Sunday in May), order by April 25th to be safe. UK Mothering Sunday in March needs orders by mid-February. Eid al-Fitr handover is also a popular delivery date — order 3 weeks ahead.

- How long is the book?
- 16 pages, which is 6-8 illustrated spreads. We can extend to 24 pages for an extra $40 if you have more to say.
- Can I include photos?
- Yes. We can paint photos directly into the artwork — they look like portrait illustrations, not glued-in snapshots. $30 per photo, capped at 6 photos per book.
- Can it be a book for a stepmother, grandmother, or mother-in-law?
- Yes — the prompts adapt to whoever the recipient is. Tell us the relationship in the brief.
- What if she's a new mom and this is her first Mother's Day?
- We have a 'First Mother's Day' template that focuses on the pregnancy, the birth, and the first months. Tell us in the brief.
- Can it be in another language?
- English, German, French, Spanish, Arabic, Urdu — yes. Add 5 days to the timeline for translated typography.
- What if she has passed away?
- We do memorial editions — 'in memory of' framing, with a softer palette. Tell us in the brief and we'll handle the tone with care.
- Can I order in time for Mother's Day?
- Order by April 25th for US Mother's Day (second Sunday in May) or mid-February for UK Mothering Sunday. Production is 7-10 days, shipping adds 3-5 days.
