A studio service

The go-to-market slide how the first customers actually arrive.

The go-to-market slide answers a practical question: how will this company get customers, and can it afford to? Many decks answer with a list of every channel that exists. A strong slide names one starting segment, one or two channels that already show results, and what a customer costs to win.

These are starting points for the scope listed, not a maximum. Larger or more specialised work — a full appendix set, regulated or clinical material, or a partnering package built to a conference deadline — is scoped and quoted per project.

N° 01What to show

Four parts of a go-to-market plan.

01

The first segment

The specific group you sell to first and why they buy soonest. Narrow is credible; "everyone" is not.

02

The channel

How you reach them: direct sales, partners, self-serve, content, marketplaces. One or two, not eight.

03

The economics

What it costs to win a customer and what a customer is worth, where you have the data. Estimates should be labelled as estimates.

04

The sequence

Which segment comes next and what has to be true before you move to it.

N° 02What goes wrong

Three common faults on this slide.

01

A list of tactics

"SEO, social, partnerships, events, PR" is a list, not a plan. Say which one works and what you have seen so far.

02

No evidence

Even a small test, such as ten customers from one channel, is stronger than a diagram of a funnel with no numbers.

03

Confusing market size with go-to-market

Market size says how big the prize is. Go-to-market says how you reach the first part of it.

Questions

The answers we give most often.

What is a go-to-market slide?
The slide that explains how the company will reach and win customers: the first segment, the channels, the cost of acquisition and the order in which it will expand.
What should a GTM slide include?
Target segment, channel, acquisition cost and customer value if known, early evidence, and the next segment. Keep it to one slide.
How is go-to-market different from the business model slide?
The business model says how you make money from a customer. Go-to-market says how you get the customer in the first place.
What if we have no customers yet?
State the plan and what you have tested: pilot conversations, a waiting list, letters of intent. Label assumptions clearly.
Where does it go in the deck?
After the product and business model slides and before traction, or combined with traction when early results already show which channel works.
Should I include a marketing budget?
Not in detail. The share of the raise going to sales and marketing belongs on the use of funds slide.

Want the whole deck to hold together?

One strong slide rarely rescues a deck. We design the argument end to end.
