A quest built around one child.
An adventure book works when the hero wants something and the world gets in the way. We start from what the child loves: dinosaurs, the sea, volcanoes, space, a lost city. That becomes the world. Then a simple quest: a map, a journey, three obstacles, a discovery, and the way home for tea.
The child is drawn from your photos and named throughout. Their companion, a sibling or a friend or the dog, is drawn from photos too. The map on the first spread has their name on it.

Obstacles, not villains.
The problems in the story are weather, distance, a broken bridge, a puzzle on a door. Nothing chases the child and nobody is cruel. If there is something they are frightened of, tell us and it stays out. The end is always the same: the discovery made, the map complete, and home.
