A studio service

Warm into warm, while wet.

Autumn is the season watercolor does better than any other medium, for one technical reason: warm pigments bleeding into each other on wet paper is what a turning tree actually looks like. This set leans into that — big wet washes, minimal drawing, and colour allowed to do the work.

Watercolor study of turning leaves with warm pigments bleeding on wet paper

N° 01Falling, gathered, stored

Leaf, orchard, low sun.

Three scales of the same palette — one leaf, one tree, one field at four in the afternoon.

01

Single leaves

One leaf, one wet shape, two warm pigments meeting in the middle. The whole season in one exercise.

02

Orchards & harvest

Apples, baskets and laden branches — where warm and cool finally have to sit next to each other.

03

Low autumn light

Long shadows and a sun near the horizon. The hardest and best exercises in the set.

N° 02How a workbook works

Not a coloring book. A lesson you paint.

Every autumn exercise arrives in three parts, so you are never staring at a blank page wondering where to start.

01

The finished painting

You see where you are going before you start — the completed piece, printed at full size, so you can match value and edge as you work.

02

The washes, in order

The same painting broken into its stages: first wash, second wash, detail. You paint one layer, let it dry, and turn the page.

03

A base to paint on

A light printed guide on the facing page. Paint straight onto it, or use it as a drawing reference on your own paper.

N° 03Made to be painted on

Laid out for wet media.

Every page is single-sided, so water never buckles the exercise on the back. Margins are wide enough to tape down, the printed guide lines are pale enough to vanish under a wash, and the whole file is 300 DPI so a home printer gives you a usable surface. Print on any 200gsm+ cold-press and it behaves like a proper block.

N° 05Questions

The answers we give most often.

Is this the same as a fall watercolor workbook?
Yes — same set, and both names describe it. Turning leaves, orchards, harvest scenes and low autumn light.
Why do my autumn colours turn brown?
Because warm pigments were mixed on the palette instead of on the paper. Let them meet while the paper is still wet and they stay separate and luminous — that is the first exercise in the set.
Do you have a winter set too?
Yes, as a separate workbook — cold palettes and snow behave nothing like autumn, so they get their own exercises.
What do the packs cost?
$9.99 for the 10-exercise Starter, $19.99 for the 30-exercise Workbook, and $39.99 for the Complete set with 60+ exercises and a commercial licence for KDP and Etsy.
