N° 01Why a bike is the harder build

Every part is on show

A car hides most of its engineering under panels. A motorcycle hides almost none: frame, forks, swingarm, chain, engine cases and brake assemblies are all visible.

There is nothing to approximate. A fork that compresses without the internal spring behaving correctly reads as wrong even to someone who could not say why.

Forks and rear travel

Chain and drive

Chain and sprockets modelled as individual parts rather than painted on as a textured loop, and driven by the rear wheel's rotation — so the drive stays in step with the bike instead of being keyed by hand and hoped over.

Three different bikes

A superbike, a long-travel adventure bike and a naked retro. Deliberately not three of the same thing — each one fails differently.

Which bikes have you built?
A BMW M1000RR, a BMW R1200GS and a Kawasaki Zephyr 1100 — a superbike, an adventure bike and a naked retro. All demonstration builds rather than client work.
Can you rig a rider too?
No. A rider is character work and a different discipline. Say so at the briefing and we will tell you whether we are the right studio for that half.
Same prices as cars?
Yes. The price follows whether we are rigging something that exists or building it from drawings, not the number of wheels.
