The answers we give most often.
- Does this cover tropical scenes as well as cold coastline?
- Both. The tropical exercises use the same techniques on a warmer palette — clear shallow water, turquoise graduation, and boat shadows on pale sand.
- How do you paint white surf without white paint?
- You paint around it. Reserving the paper is the central skill in this workbook, and the first three exercises do nothing else. Opaque white added afterwards never looks like light.
- Are shells and beach details included?
- Yes — shells, driftwood and beach still lifes appear as shorter exercises between the larger seascapes.
